Getting started with CashSheet: From sign-up to your first sale
Step 1: Create your account
Go to CashSheet and click Get Started. Enter your email and a password. You will receive a 6-digit OTP to verify your email — enter it and you are in.
Step 2: Choose a plan
Pick the plan that fits your team size. You can upgrade at any time. All plans include the full accounting engine, sales orders, and inventory management.
Step 3: Set up your organization
Enter your business name and choose a subdomain (e.g. mybusiness.cashsheet.app). CashSheet creates an isolated accounting environment for your organization automatically — no database setup required.
Step 4: Create your first entity
An entity represents a business unit. CashSheet sets up a standard Chart of Accounts for you. You can customize account names and add new accounts from the Accounts section.
Step 5: Add your items
Go to Items and add the products or services you sell. Set a name, selling price, and assign an earnings account. If you use the Inventory module, items sync automatically between the two modules.
Step 6: Complete your first Quick Sale
Click New Sales Order from the Sales Orders page. Search for an item, set the quantity, choose a payment method, and click Create. That is it — the sale is recorded, the invoice is posted, and your books are updated in one step.
CashSheet posts the full double-entry journal automatically: DR Cash, CR Revenue. No manual journal entries needed.
What happens in the background
Behind the scenes CashSheet creates a Sales Order (status: Fulfilled), an Invoice (status: Paid), and posts the GL entries. If you have inventory set up, it also records the theoretical ingredient usage and updates your COGS — all without any extra clicks.
